Legal Staffing

Compliance, LP is a legal staffing company now based in NYC, with facilities throughout the northeast. This shoot took me to Manhattan to photograph their midtown office "with a view." And what a view it was, unobstructed to the south, all the way to 34th Street and the Empire State Building. I love working down in NYC, and it is such a short trip from Saratoga Springs. It's always fun to visit with friends who still live there and get new photos for clients who are based in the city.

Local Actor - Brenny Rabine

A few weeks ago I met with Brenny Rabine, a talented actor in upstate NY. Despite the weather outside, we were able to get some great shots of her inside to add to her portfolio and eventually to her website. You can visit her online at: BrennyRabine.com Having a theatre background myself, and having recently moved here from NYC, we photograph a great number of headshots for professional actors, as well as students wishing to pursue a degree or future career in the arts. Just as in much of my portrait work, I love to utilize the available and natural light, adding just a hint of studio lighting here and there to make the photo really stand out.

Senior Portrait in Ohio

Here are some shots from our most recent senior portrait session with Nate. Turns out he's the starting goalie for the Kent, Ohio lacrosse team, and a member of their 2008 Metro Champions Varsity Football Team!

Harvest & Hearth

Harvest & Hearth is a great new pizza place on Saratoga Lake. They specialize in wood fired artisan pizzas, using all local and organic ingredients. It's an amazing concept, and the flavors certainly show that it is worth the effort to use such fresh ingredients. Here are some photos from our recent photo shoot. You can also see their ad featuring my photography in the most recent Saratoga County edition of Clipper Magazine. harvestandhearth.com

Moreau Lake Engagement Photo

Beth & Matt joined me on a cold late October morning for a great engagement portrait session at Moreau Lake State Park. As part of every wedding we photograph, I offer each of my clients a complimentary engagement photo. It's a great way to get to know more about the couple and see them with each other... not to mention make us all excited about the wedding next year!

Last of the Fall Foliage

Well, it's November 1st and the last of the fall foliage is making its way to the ground. I snapped this photo last weekend on my way home from a wedding near Albany. I've always enjoyed the last weeks of October when the leaves turn a rust color and the sunsets seem to last for an hour!

High Rock Construction

Last Thursday I had the chance to photograph a beautiful new home here in upstate NY. Rob Moran of High Rock Construction was kind enough to share his latest project with me. The attention to detail in this home was nothing short of amazing. If anyone is thinking about building a new home, I would highly recommend Rob at High Rock Construction.

Adirondack Wedding

Paulina & Troy were married in August, on what may have been the most gorgeous day of the entire summer here in the Adirondacks. Here are some of the photos from their wedding on the lake.

Saratoga Golf & Polo Club

Lauren & Justin were married Saturday, September 27th at the nearby Saratoga Golf & Polo Club. After hearing predictions of rain (a 70% chance) we lucked out and had a gorgeous day with great light. Everyone was happy to be outside! They were a pleasure to photograph, and I had a great time at the wedding. Here are a few of the highlights from their big day.

Apple Cider Time!

Well, it's that time of year in the northeast, and there's no better place to find apple cider donuts than at Lakeside Farms in Ballston Lake. The farm has been in the family for decades, and it shows! Rosie (my wife) and I started our day with a great breakfast and an educational tour of the cider press (which dates back to the 1890s) We also picked up some decorations for the house, and bought some cider donuts for the short trip back home! The apple barn was bursting with all kinds of apples, pumpkins, gourds, and seasonal vegetables. If you haven't been, go now. Take exit 11 off I-87 and head west for 3 miles. You can't miss it, it's truly picturesque.

Glen Sanders Mansion

Glen Sanders Mansion (Scotia, NY) invited me last week to photograph some delicious (and beautiful) food for their upcoming advertisement in Clipper Magazine. Yes, I tried both dishes. They looked good and tasted even better!

Tennis Week Magazine

Tuesday, I played tennis with Matt. Okay, he hit balls at my camera while I hid from his killer forehand. This was my first assignment for Tennis Week magazine.

Aerial Photography

Saratoga Sotheby's Real Estate is an amazing client of mine. A few weeks back I had the opportunity to fly over many of the properties which I have photographed for them. Here are some shots from the morning flight. Some beautiful properties, and some unusual sights from above, including this shot of the salvage yard.

Michele & Michael

This weekend's wedding was a blast for everyone. Michele and Michael were married on September 20th at The Mansion Inn in Rock City Falls, NY. If you've never been there, or stayed there, go now, it's gorgeous. Their event planner, Shannon Rose, did an amazing job with everything! DJ Ody was a hit too, not only covering everyone's requests, but singing, playing the guitar, and getting the crowd involved with a 150 player version of "Name That Tune." Even I had my picture taken here by the flower girls. Here are some highlights of the day.

Block Island Anniversary

Rosie and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary by spending the week on Block Island! Here are a few photos of us, and of our favorite restaurant/hotel, "The Spring House." Not only did we like the name, we also liked the scallops, the gnocchi, and the lemon meringue cheesecake . Whoa.
